![]() if one app or game you have runs at HALF or less the performance on AMD than nVidia and AMD had 5+ years to fix it and didn't then you will buy nVidia and never look back. Their poor Windows OpenGL performance was an enormous weight around their neck for years. If you're one of the people affected by AMD's absolutely terrible regression testing (or tolerance for regression) then you will be very much put off their products. ![]() Then AMD adds a bunch of new features from a new branch and the old problems return. the problem has been that AMD has been genuinely awful at addressing long-standing issues compared to nVidia. ![]() Outside of OpenGL, AMD driver issues were always minor and relegated to a small part of the gaming public.
